The Old-Time Swastikas of SoMA – What You Can See at Fifth and Mission by the Old Mint

Here’s an old-time right-facing swastika sitting on the corner of 5th and Mission, plain as day, right across the street from the San Francisco Chronicle Building. The metal fencing you can see has been there since 1874 or thereabouts, when the Old Mint, that Granite Lady, went up.
